Forum Guidelines

The Forums exist to supply the public and company members with an active communication portal to discuss Final Fantasy XIV. In addition to general trade and discussion, it is also a portal for accessing the latest news about FFXIV. While for the most part the Forums will be uncensored as well as unmoderated, there may be cases where comments will have to be edited to protect the eyes of any younger members. Please remember to keep it professional, friendly, and in general a place where we can go to learn together, not endure endless whining.

Two primary rules which are critical for the overall spirit of the forums are:

Use search before you post anything.

Do not post something which already exists, see above.


In addition to the above, there are some basic rules that should be observed in-order to protect ourselves from any uncomfortable situations. Breaking these rules may carry a range of uncomfortable effects which no-one wants to have to deal with, so please keep these in mind when posting.


No pornography, pornographic related media.

No gore, scat, or any media that can disgust the viewer.

No advertisements at all whatsoever without having the approval of Sil or Val Rothschild. This includes continuously mentioning said advertisement in threads, abusing the private messaging system with mass mailings, and any other form.

Don't be simultaneously active using more than one account. While some players / company members may have multiple accounts, or have access to a family member / roommate's account, DO NOT abuse that access to perpetuate any topic, generate extra votes, or curry favor.

Try to keep the flaming to a minimum (If the company begins to span multiple servers, then server specific forums MAY be exempt from this rule, based on general consensus of the Council).

We are all entitled to our opinions and that may included negative opinions about a console/game/anything else, but if you are knowingly or purposely posting to incite anger/negativity on the site or from the community, you will be banned for trolling. This site is for meaningful discussions and debates, not a place for you to start trouble. Be mindful.

Purposely spamming this site with senseless, vacuous, or empty messages is highly frowned upon!

On a similar note, participating in spam attacks (post riots, etc.) on this site or planning a spam attack on this site or any other Website is unacceptable, and these actions will be reported to your ISP.

The staff's decision is final, if you have a problem with what's going on, PM Sil or Val Rothschild.

These guidelines may change at anytime, if they do it will be announced and you agree to abide by whatever is changed.

No discussions of illegal activity will be tolerated on the site. Any instruction on how to carry out illegal activity or admission of illegal activity will be dealt with harshly. This includes but is not limited to discussions about how to obtain drugs illegally, how to steal, fraud, how to kill someone, rape (including statutory rape), abuse of humans or animals, and auto theft. To sum up, if it's against the law, don't post it.

If you abuse guests or company members, you will be barred from the site permanently. If found to be using another users account, or a second account to propagate such abuse, you will similarly be perma-banned. Rule #4 covers this too.

There is no Rule 13 (due to superstitions of unnamed company members).
